Gardening And Book Binding

Household Gardening

Members of the Household Gardening group learn about nutrition and how to incorporate it into their lives, through the production of their own gardens, which inspire hope and life, showing that growth does not stop in sickness.

Through this program at MUJHU, women and men have been able to generate income by selling their products. In addition, MUJHU has provided them an opportunity to learn cooking in a demonstration kitchen, a facility set-up by a donation from a generous donor.

Book-Binding Project

Mothers infected with HIV/AIDS struggle with more than just the disease. Many are unable to care for, and provide for their children.

The Book-Binding project teaches these mothers skills to make school notebooks, envelopes, and binders which can be sold and used as a source of income for otherwise unemployed women.

Through this program, mothers learn a skill, gain economic stability , and can provide for themselves and their families.
